I’m so sorry to hear about your accident. Sending warm thoughts and I hope your healing is complete and as rapid as possible. Hopefully you will find fascinating and worthwhile opportunities while you mend. As you indirectly point out, when one door closes others open.

The way we spend our days is, after all, the way we spend our lives.

Annie Dillard wrote that, and I think about it a lot. If this is how I am spending my life, how do I want to be with that? Is it a thing I want or a thing I can change? What would this chapter look like in a biography of me? Maybe it's ok if right now I'm just picking lettuce and eating strawberries. I tend to be looser about time but hardcore about doing things. I think it might be time to shift that part somehow.

We all do these sorts of things, I hope you get better soon. I've been pondering time and how important it is in my style of cooking, learning and sharing. Take care.

Ouch. Heal up my friend. Seems like you are learning hard but important lessons. My grandmother used to say time has no meaning and it drove me crazy to hear. I feel the message in my bones now, how right she was.

I will share downtime with you as I’m doing the covid thing and all intentions have been replaced by snuggling in bed with cats - not all bad!

Ah Trevor, I hope by now you're up ad about a bit more and healing well. That IS an epic scar. I too have a lot of hangups about time and tardiness and even living in a country in which Filipino time is well known to be on a completely different dimension to our western mind still hasn't changed this much, haha.

What a gripping tale. I’m glad you are on the mend. The NM cheese guild taught a queso fresco class and one of the students asked if you were going to come back to New Mexico to teach again. I said maybe if we can offer another goat harvesting for cheese makers class. I hope that’s true. Heal quickly and write a lot.
